I’M KEVIN
I’M GOING TO HELP YOU discover THE WRITER YOU ARE meant to be

I was a young writer once, too, and at the age of 23, I wrote a novel, expecting it to be published quickly.
It was shot down at every turn.
When you know who you are...
Your ideas speak for themselves. You become identifiable by your words and you gain the freedom to write like it’s second nature. You’ll be satisfied with what you’ve done on the page. Every single time.
When we work together, I’ll guide you through exercises that lead to your self-discovery.
I’ll help you practice the right things, so your time-in is worth it.
We’ll work together to find your sense of freedom so you stop questioning every single word you put down.
I’ll help you find your boundaries, so you know everything you write is in your voice.
And most importantly, the work we’ll do together will fuel your confidence as a writer.
I’ll help you find your ease and freedom so you can get to what’s most important; getting your ideas out on the page.
I’LL LEAD YOU TO YOUR
WRITING VOICE SO YOU
CAN GET your ideas out
ON THE PAGE.

When I got to know myself as a writer, it felt like a new awakening.
When I finally wrote 3 pages in my true voice, it felt more satisfying than writing an entire book in a confused voice. I felt more fulfilled with my self-discovery as a writer than I felt when I wrote my first novel.
MY STORY
Picture this: a new college graduate, a steaming hot, fresh novel in tow, a dream of bursting onto the writing scene as a young, exciting writing prospect. I eagerly submitted my novel to 40 agents and publishers.
I ended up getting 40 consecutive rejections. Though it may be a bit melodramatic, I came to dub it my “Year of No.” Looking back at it, I had set myself up to fail without even realizing it. I had made my first set of wings and when I jumped off the cliff to test them, I plummeted.
Once I recovered from the self-doubt this year had created, I become a student of the game. For many years, I studied in private. I read. I fellowshipped. I practiced. I practiced. I practiced. I tried different styles like I was trying on shirts at a clothing store. Along the way, my goals and my view of what was most important changed.
Now, over 13 years later, my goals have changed. What I want to do is share all the things I’ve discovered in my journey. I want to meet writers who were like me those years past – enthusiastic, full of ideas but also unsure of who they are. What I love to do now is help introduce writers to themselves.
